THE HAUNTED HIGHWAY

I was not expecting that on the last day of our trip , I would be so horrified . The whole day we spend on packing our luggage and at about 7 pm , pandit g cum our tour guide came to pick us up from the hotel . As we were on the way to railway station , we arrived at the highway and he started chanting hanuman chalisa . I was confused and then I asked him , " Pandit g , why all of sudden you are chanting the mantras?" . And with all the courage he could muster , he said , " This Highway is haunted!" . I laughed and said there is no such thing as ghost and then he said , " You believe in positive energy?" . I nodded . " Then there is negative too . Same as if there is god then there is devil too . close your eyes because you don't want to experience the devil!" . I thought its just a tactic which the looters apply to loot people . I started looking out of the window then all of a sudden I saw a man was riding a cycle and started screaming . My dad asked pandit g that if we could help him , to which he denied . Then as the car moved forward , I looked from the back mirror , I saw the cycle was thrown by invisible force and the man ran away , shouting and screaming . My eyes bulged out and I was not sure what I saw was true or illusion .

Later , while we were at the station waiting for our train's arrival , he revealed the curse behind that highway . He said back in 2012 , there was an old man who used to work in a cracker factory outside the town . But on the 1st day of the month he went to the owner to ask for money as he wasn't getting paid for 5 months . The owner denied and said would give his salary next month . He resisted because he doesn't had enough money to buy medicine . But owner still refused . So , that day while riding back to home , he had a stroke and died on the spot . People make fun of poor just because they lack money , they beg but they don't like to give salary on time . His wife died and his son was living in jharkhand and he denied to come and perform his last rites . So , I did and pinddaan as well . But this can't satisfy his soul . Later that month The factory owner and his family died in a fire while celebrating his birthday . And the highway became haunted . 

As he completed his story , I asked how will he go back , if that ghost haunts the highway at night because that's the only way to your home . He told us that he was going to spend the night at station . The spirit's power is low during day , but its not like that he's not active . 

I was speechless and even now I am !
