HIMACHAL PRADESH : The state of Awe , our visit to NADAUN

It was the time of January 2017 , when my family visited Nadaun for the first time . I was scared to visit hill station during winters because I have heard that hilly areas become unsuitable for living beings . But my massi ( aunt ) was insisting so we spent winter holidays there . We were welcomed by her with so much of enthusiasm . I was loving that place .  She then decided to take us to Jawala g temple . While we were on the way , she explained us about the history of that place . And the beautiful sunset which I can never forget .

The temple build on the top of a hill , it seemed so to me . The stairs were huge and we kept our footwear outside the temple on the side of the wall , where a rack was built . As we went inside people were already waiting for darshan . There was no rush ,  but I was enthralled to see the fire which never get extinguish . She said during the times of British reign many officers came to disapprove the Indian history and tried every possible way to extinguish the fire , it is believed by the locals that those officers were cursed by the goddess and died of very painful death . Is this a mystery or reality ? I don't know but all I know is Faith is  real . It depends on person to person whether they believe it or not ! what do you say ? !

That day I was shocked when my massi said , " you can even put your hand in fire and you will not get harmed" . Then behind us there was a couple from Brazil , who did the same and was amazed that they didn't get hurt . Then many people followed suit  . It was truly an amazing experience . After darshan , we saw a couple performing yagya or havan . My massi said it was shanti paath . It is believed that goddess will help the soul  reaching it destination after death so that these spirits will not wander on earth , trying to do harm to the livings . And I discovered that the couple lost their son and daughter ( Twins ) in an  accident a week ago . They were only 16 years of age . I was scared and sad too but then massi said , " Death and Birth is not in our hands . Its their destiny so do you and all of us are following our destiny" .

Vishnu Pad Temple and "PINDDAAN"

Its said that its not easy to get salvation when your karmas aren't right . Good Karam doesn't mean that you have to become blind about another's negative traits . Its like you have to focus on yourself and not to become like others . Its a famous saying that ,   "Whatever you give to life , it gives you back . Do not hate anybody . The hatred which comes out from you will someday come back to you" . That is what everyone in Gaya trying to say that ' stay calm , feel yourself with gratitude for your ancestors and keeping in mind that gratitude you will provide them with Salvation' . Trip to Gaya ( Bihar) : SITA KUND

It was about 4 am in the morning when we all had to go to the temple to perform the ritual . I was so excited , as you all have guessed about me from my previous post . Well ! It was the time when I got break from my boring and dull academic life and learn something new . We were taken to a large ground ( which seemed first ) but then Pandit g explained that it was the area of  'FALGU' river .   THE CURSE OF FALGU  : It was said that at one point Falgu river was one of the major river in India . But its fate changed when shree ram visited gaya with his wife sita for pinddaan  during pitripaksha .
